More than a photographer, I am a storyteller.
While anyone can snap a pretty photo, my mission is deeper. When I look through my lens, I want to capture your family's love.
I do what I do because, quite simply, my own story is not complete.
I have one, just one, photograph of my parents with me and my brothers and sister. One. This is my most cherished possession.
With both of my parents gone, when I look at this photo, I only see happiness, love and family. I honestly don't care how my Mother's hair looked, what shape she was in, what stress she might have been under, I only care that she is holding me. Her arm is around me. She loves me. That's it. But I wish I had more. I wish I had many more moments.
What I am 100% passionate about is giving your children an everlasting gift, an enduring page in the story of your life that shows how much you loved them.
I want them to ALWAYS remember the way you looked at them with unconditional love. They won't care about how your hair looked, what you were wearing, how you felt about yourself at that moment. They will only care about how you looked at them, how you held them, how they absolutely knew that they were your whole world. That is what they will feel when they look at these photos 30 or 40 years from now. That's it. Your love.
I am the photographer who will tell your story. To your children, to their children and beyond. This is what I do.
Cronin Photography began as a dream, and with the encouragement and support of friends and family, it has become a reality. Friends and family are an integral part of my life. I love the bonds I see between people and I enjoy being able to preserve these moments in time for generations to come. I love location photography! My goal is to have everyone be as comfortable as possible in front of the camera and being in their own environment is a good way to help that happen. My style is simple - no props, little direction, just quiet (well, kinda sorta) observation with my camera. I want you to enjoy your session in an atmosphere which is meaningful to you. I pride myself on providing you with a creative, high quality, and personalized service. A photograph should evoke emotion, tell a story, and preserve a moment in time.

What should we wear?
Good choices in clothing is one of the key elements of a great photo session! For group sessions, clothing should be coordinated. It is not necessary that everyone match exactly, just make sure the colors tie in together. Avoid patterns
as they may detract from your face. Consider your home decor. Make sure that what
you select blends in seamlessly with the color scheme of your home. Avoid cap sleeves
Sleeveless is great on toned arms, 3/4 sleeves are universally flattering and slimming. Keep the location in mind. Pick out items of clothing in colors that will complement
your background and not compete with it. Go for classics. Trends come and go but
classic styles will live on. Classic styles help avoid having your family portrait look
outdated. Choose accessories to add texture to your photos and tie the outfits together.
Before the Session We will talk about where we will photograph your session and come up with the best location. I want it to be somewhere meaningful to you, but if you need some ideas, I have many favorite places to suggest. Leading up to your session, we will keep an eye on the weather forecast, and if we feel the session needs to be moved earlier, or later in the day, or even re-scheduled, we will make that change. Plan on an hour for your session but know that it could go a little less or a little more.
After the Session We will set up a time to meet, online or in person, to go through your images. At that time, I will show you ideas for custom wall art and album designs. This will be your ordering appointment so it's important that all decision makers are present. I will help you every step of the way and offer you ideas that I believe will be the best fit for you.
Just Have Fun Please feel at ease during your session. If pressured to "smile", natural expressions may be lost. Many of the great images that I capture are the "in-between" shots, when you are relaxed and less aware of the camera. Some of my favorite moments are when you are engaging with each other and forget that I'm there. Definitely don't stress over your session! This is a fun time so just relax, smile, laugh, hug, kiss, and have a great time!
Is there a deposit? For weddings, a deposit is required to reserve your date. For portrait sessions, the session fee is due at the time of the session.
What does the session fee include? The session fee includes our time together, the creative editing and retouching of the photographs. Please note that the session fee covers my time and talent and does not include photographic prints, digital images or products. Please email me for a complete pricing list.
What do I need to do to book a session? You can either email me, or give me a call, and we can discuss the location and time for your session. At that time, we can also work out all the details, so that on the day of your session, you'll be relaxed and ready to have fun! Keep in mind that the BEST time is in the sweet light of day, so let's start about an hour before sunset.
What if I'm not photogenic? There's no need to stress, you're not alone with your feelings. As long as you're relaxed and having fun, you're going to look great! I promise I will do my best to keep you laughing and at ease. Most people are surprised at how much fun it actually is! I have a zit, will we have to re-schedule? No, Photoshop makes me the Dermatologist of cyberspace.
Let's have fun and, together, create the best photos for you!
