frequently asked questions

What should we wear?

The days of matching outfits are long gone! Go bold! For engagement sessions, I tell my clients to compliment each other with their outfit choices & don't be afraid of prints or bold colors, you can even have 2 outfit changes during a shoot - one more casual and one more dressy if you wish. It's up to you ~ I want you to have fun with whatever you choose.

For lifestyle portrait sessions, bright accessories like hats and scarves are great, but really anything goes! I don't encourage matching outfits but with larger family groupings it does tend to look a lot better if everyone is in the same tones so your eye isn't jumping all over the photo. Subtle and low key look great, as do earth tones.

Do you require a deposit?

For weddings, a deposit is required to reserve your date.
For lifestyle sessions, the session fee is due at the time of the session.

What does the session fee include?
The session fee includes our time together, the creative editing and retouching of the photographs and a password-protected online gallery for ten days.
Please note that the session fee covers artist's time and talent and does not include photographic prints, digital images or products. Please email me for a complete pricing list.

What do I need to do to book a session?

You can either email me, or give me a call, and we can discuss the location and time for your session. At that time, we can also work out all the details, so that on the day of your session, you'll be relaxed and ready to have fun! Keep in mind that the BEST time is in the sweet light of day, so let's start about an hour before sunset.

What if I'm not photogenic?

There's no need to stress, you're not alone with your feelings. As long as you're relaxed and having fun, you're going to look great! I promise I will do my best to keep you laughing and at ease. Most people are surprised at how much fun it actually is!

I have a zit, will we have to re-schedule?

No, Photoshop makes me the Dermatologist of cyberspace.
